시각 질감 Visual texture - Recycling story 2021
Pyeongchang ARTccc에서 주관하는 Recycling story전시회는 강원도 일대에서 거행된 2018평창동계올림픽이 지속 가능한 미래를 위한 문화올림픽으로 거듭날 것을 촉구하기 위해 현대를 살고 있는 예술가들에게 매년 새로운 담론을 제시하며 동시대를 사는 예술가들의 다양성을 이해하고 주제에 대한 재해석을 통한 예술표현으로 대중과 좀 더 가까이 다가가고자 합니다.
Recycling story는 여러 문화권에서 활동하는 작가들의 사유의 재현, 사물의 재현, 자연의 재활용, 물질의 재생 등을 의미하는 전시로 이루어지고 있다. 우리는 단순한 물성의 재활용이 아닌 사유의 재생, 사고의 재현, 본질의 탐구, 연속 가능성, 등 예술가들의 정신세계를 나타낼 수 있는 예술 전반적인 표현 형식을 모두 포함하고 있습니다.
2021년 『 시각 질감 Visual texture - Recycling story 2021』의 기획 의도는 인간의 감각기관 공감각, 즉 다중 감각 작용을 일으키는 감각요소들을 주제로 하고 있다. 그 중에서 시각예술을 통해 느껴지는 촉각에 의미를 두고 촉지각적인 질감에 포커스를 맞추고자 한다. 촉지각은 대상의 본질을 표현하기 위한 시각예술에서 표현 매체의 물성을 탐구하여 정신적인 감각을 드러내는 작업들이다. 이는 예술에 있어서 정신적인 것을 탐구하는 과정으로 형상과 추상의 경계에서 물성 탐구의 중요성을 이야기 한다. 참여작가들은 작가들만의 고유한 표현세계를 탐구하여 자신만의 독특한 시각 질감을 표현하고 있다.
작가의 구성은 평창, 강릉, 횡성, 춘천, 서울, 전주, 독일, 일본, 폴란드, 인도, 스리랑카, 스페인, 프랑스에서 활동하는 작가들로 구성되어 각기 다른 문화권에서 작가들마다 고유한 표현세계를 한 곳에서 보여 주어 심층적인 시각 탐구를 연구하는 전시입니다.
Recycling story exhibition hosted by Pyeongchang ARTccc presents artists living in the same age by presenting new discourse to artists living in the present year every year to urge the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics held in Gangwon Province to be reborn as a cultural Olympics for a sustainable future. We want to get closer to the public by understanding diversity and expressing art through reinterpretation of the subject.
The Recycling story consists of exhibitions that represent the reproduction of the thoughts of artists working in various cultures, the reproduction of objects, the recycling of nature, and the reproduction of materials. We include all forms of expression that can represent artists' mental worlds, such as the regeneration of thoughts, the reproduction of thoughts, the quest for essence, and the possibility of continuity, not just the recycling of physical properties.
The planning intention of 『Visual texture-Recycling story 2021』 in 2021 is based on the synesthesia of human sensory organs, that is, sensory elements that cause multiple sensory functions. Among them, I intend to focus on the tactile sensation, putting meaning on the sense of touch felt through visual art. Tactile perception is a work that reveals a spiritual sense by exploring the physical properties of an expression medium in visual art to express the essence of an object. This is a process of exploring spiritual things in art, and it talks about the importance of exploring material properties at the boundary between form and abstraction. Participating artists express their own unique visual texture by exploring the unique world of expression.
